March 8 - Just the Facts: Filling the Blanks on Linage Society Applications
Join us for our continuing monthly lecture series as Susan Sloan, professional genealogist and president of the Georgia Genealogical Society, discusses requirements for lineage society applications on March 8, 2013, from 12:00-1:00 at the Georgia Archives in Morrow.
Many family historians wonder if the sources they have on their family group sheet will be appropriate for joining a lineage society. While each lineage society has certain criteria for what they will accept as proof when joining their society, there are certain guidelines that all family historians should adhere to when filling in the blanks on any application. This presentation will review and evaluate sources of evidence to determine if they are valid proof of relationships.
