Register as a Solicitor Agent
SOLICITOR AGENT - is any person, other than a charitable organization, paid solicitor, or commercial coventurer, who or which solicits charitable contributions for compensation. A solicitor agent must register with the Secretary of State prior to engaging in any solicitation. [O.C.G.A 43-17-2(16)]
Registration as a solicitor agent is required if the solicitor agent solicits contributions on behalf of a charitable organization within or from this state. A solicitor agent may be affiliated through employment or as an independent contractor pursuant to a written agreement with a paid solicitor or charitable organization.
INITIAL REGISTRATION SOLICITOR AGENT -
The following documents and fee, under O.C.G.A § 40-17-3.1, are required to complete the registration process. Upon submission, the Division will review the information and will contact your organization if additional information is required. Please send your required documents and fee to:

1. Registration Fee
The initial application fee is $50.00. The fee payment must be made by check or money order. Make check or money order out to Georgia Secretary of State.
2. Form SA-1
Submit fully completed Form SA-1 application. (See the bottom of the page for the form)
3. Consent to Background (Consent Form)
If you have answered in the affirmative (YES) to any questions on page 2 of the Form SA-1, you are subject to a criminal background investigation for the purpose of verification of information provided in the application. Please submit the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Consent Form as written consent to authorize the Charities Division to receive Georgia criminal history information which may be in the files of any state or local criminal justice agency in Georgia.This form is on page 3 of the Form SA-1
4. Affidavit of Applicant & Secure and Verifiable Document
Sign and notarize the Affidavit of Applicant, located on page 4 of the Form SA-1. Please submit a copy of your current Secure and Verifiable Document, such as driver’s license, passport, or other documents under O.C.G.A. §50-36-2. Please see pages 5 and 6 for a complete list of Secure and Verifiable Documents Under O.C.G.A. §50-36-2.
