Georgia State Board of Nursing Home Administrators

The Georgia State Board of Nursing Home Administrators is a 13-member board appointed by the Governor consisting of a licensed medical doctor, a licensed registered nurse, an educator with a graduate degree specializing in gerontology, three public members at large, a hospital administrator, and six members, at least one of whom shall represent nonproprietary nursing homes, who are licensed nursing home administrators in this state. The Board meets quarterly to license nursing home administrators and to ensure quality administration and sound management of nursing homes. The Board also administers an administrator-in-training program.

Have You Renewed Your License?

Licenses for nursing home administrators, preceptors and administrators in training had to be renewed by December 31, 2013.  If you have not yet renewed your license you may not practice as a nursing home administrator.  If you failed to renew your license before December 31, 2013 you may submit an application for late renewal by clicking here.  Late renewal applications must be submitted by March 31, 2014.
