Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission
The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission is composed of five commissioners appointed
by the Governor. Each commissioner is appointed for a term of
four years and until his or her successor is appointed. Vacancies for unexpired terms are filled under the same procedures and requirements as
appointments for full terms.
The Commission elects a chairperson from among its membership for a term of one year. The commission may elect a vice chairperson from its membership for a term of one year. Any member serving as chairperson shall be eligible for successive election to such office by the commission.

All mixed martial arts and ticket broker licenses expire on June 30 of the year in which they are issued. All professional boxing and wrestling licenses expire on December 31 of the year in which they are issued. ONLY CHECKS ARE ACCEPTED FOR LICENSES.
To be considered for a professional boxing, mixed martial arts, or kickboxing license, the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission requires a minimum of Five (5) amateur fights, three of which must be state sanctioned OFFICIAL events. The commission also recommends a winning record before considering issuing a professional license. If you would like to be waived from this policy recommendation, you must submit your request in writing to the secretary of the commission, or schedule an appearance before the commission at the monthly commission meeting, or both.

All communication with Commissioners must be submitted to the Executive Director of the Commission. People who would like to be heard by the Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission at its public meeting must submit their topics and comments in writing by the Friday before the meeting. Meetings takes place on the third Thursday of each month.
The Georgia Athletic and Entertainment Commission has scheduled its board meeting for Thursday, May 18th at 11:00am.
All fighters must fax or mail copies of current bloodwork (within 180 days; HIV, Hepatitis B & Hepatitis C) to the Commission office AND have a copy at all weigh-ins.
