Corporations Elections Licensing Securities Charities

ATLANTA, GA – In order to promote financial readiness for our military families, the Securities and Charities Division of the Office of the Secretary of State Brian Kemp is making available a pamphlet to all service members.

“Navigating financial markets can be tricky, especially when taking advantage of military benefits,” stated Secretary Kemp. “Therefore, I am providing each Georgia military base with copies of the Financial Field Manual: The Personal Finance Guide for Military Families.”  A digital copy of the manual is also available at the Secretary of State’s website.

“This manual includes comprehensive information on a range of critical issues, including need-to-know changes to the military retirement system, how to recognize financial fraud, and what financial steps to take before and after your service,” continued Kemp.  “The manual is designed to help military families discover how to maximize personal finance opportunities and avoid pitfalls.”

“Thank you for your service to our country. You and your family have made great sacrifices for your fellow Americans’ freedom,” said Kemp.  “ For that, our country owes you an incredible debt of gratitude.”

Secretary Kemp encourages Georgians to contact Securities and Charities Division staff if they suspect financial exploitation or fraud. To report suspicious activity call (404) 654-6023. You can also email to submit a complaint.
