She Leads GA: Women's Financial Empowerment Forum

She Leads Georgia

She Leads GA is a forum designed to educate Georgians on finances & investing and empower them to become more financially able to start a business. It is a community-focused workshop, free of charge, specifically addressing the challenges facing Georgians, with a focus on women.

It is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his financial literacy platform.

Launched in 2019, She Leads was first program of its kind for the State of Georgia. It targeted financial empowerment in an innovative format that allowed women to receive access to financial recourses, networks and experts that they may have otherwise not have had access to in a non-intimidating, intimate setting, with a community driven feel has been key to the success of this program.

In 2020, She Leads launched its online platform taking it to a virtual event. You can find our programs on Veko:  https://vekeo.com/georgiasecstate/

She Leads GA brings together leaders from the financial sector, representing the government and private sectors (including businesses owned by women), and other institutions, to engage and collaborate with one another.

She Leads GA is a collaboration with local communities and features Georgia speakers, panelists, and session facilitators, interactive exercises, and facilitated group discussions designed to increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their personal relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for increasing and leveraging their wealth and assets. It also feature various partners from other state and federal agencies.

Lead by subject matter experts, the program's aim is to provide mentorship opportunities, networking, and educational resources, including valuable educational resources developed by the Investor Protection Trust and its partners.

These are FREE.   Join these financial education and literacy discussions that are designed to be informative and educational, allowing Georgians to converse with other Georgians to raise awareness of issues and challenges they face in securing, protecting, and growing their wealth.

She Leads GA is sponsored in partnership with the Investor Protection Trust (IPT). Funding through grants is provided by IPT, a non-profit organization that supports the organizations and innovative programs it identifies as aligned with its focus areas of investor education and financial literacy.
