Military and Overseas Voting

Welcome to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Military and Overseas Voter Information Page.

Your Georgia voting rights extend all over the globe and we want to make voting in elections away from your home county easy and efficient. Please review the tabs on the left to learn more about voter registration and absentee ballot applications. Military and overseas voters may choose to receive their ballots either electronically or by regular mail. Please remember to include a valid email address on the application when requesting Electronic Ballot Delivery (EBD). Electronic Ballot Delivery is only available for elections with a federal candidate on the ballot. We look forward to serving you.

What is UOCAVA?

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act is commonly referred to as UOCAVA. UOCAVA is federal law that applies to U.S. citizens who are active members of the Uniformed Services, the Merchant Marine, the commissioned corps of the Public Health Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, their eligible family members and other U.S. citizens residing outside the United States. The law provides additional voter registration and absentee voting opportunities for elections with federal offices. You can read more about UOCAVA here
