Raffensperger expressed overall pleasure in the performance of Georgia’s new secure paper-ballot system during Tuesday’s special election.

Raffensperger and the Georgia Cyber Center at Augusta University announced their partnership on protecting Georgia’s election system.

The Multi State Information Sharing and Analysis Center and the Department of Homeland Security have notified Secretary Raffensperger.

Complete renewal applications that were submitted on time will be in a status of “Active-Renewal Pending” until reviewed by the Board.

The election will be Feb. 4 for the district, which includes parts of Crisp, Dodge, Dooly, Lee, Sumter, Tift, Worth, Turner, and Wilcox counties.

The Secretary of State’s Office will deliver the largest shipment to metro Atlanta of equipment for Georgia’s new secure paper-ballot system. 

Today is the last day to register to vote in next month’s special election to fill the vacancy in House District 171.

Georgians should be careful to ensure their donations are used honestly and effectively.

The Secure the Vote trailer visits are scheduled Saturday, January 11 at Hinesville Health Clinic and the Liberty County Community Complex.

The rules require county poll managers to test each BMD before every election to ensure that voters’ selections will be accurately printed.

The agency also announced that more than 462,000 people have registered to vote in the 12 months.
