Early Voting Passes 2022 Midterm Record With One Day Left

October 29th, 2026

Atlanta - Georgia has surpassed the 2022 midterm in-person early voting record with one day of early voting left. As of 1:35 PM Thursday, 2,294,275 Georgians had voted early. In 2022, 2,289,951 people voted early in-person total. Including absentee-by-mail ballots, overall turnout as a percent of active voters remains on pace with overall 2022 turnout.

“Georgians continue to head to the polls in record numbers because they trust the system,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “This record-breaking in-person early voting turnout wouldn’t be possible without our county elections officials who work every day to ensure our elections are free, fair, and fast.”

In addition to in-person voting,108,251 absentee ballots have been accepted as of 1:35 PM Thursday.

Early voting continues through Friday, October 30. Polling places are open on Election Day from 7 AM to 7 PM. To find early voting locations and hours in your county and your Election Day polling places, visit the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
