Secretary Raffensperger Reminds Voters of Absentee Ballots Deadline
Atlanta - Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger reminds voters that Georgia law requires that all absentee ballots must be received by the county elections office by 7 PM on Tuesday, November 3. Ballots postmarked by November 3, but not received, will not count.
“With Election Day fast approaching, be mindful that ballots must be returned to your county elections office by the time polls close,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “Per Georgia law, you may hand-deliver your completed ballot to your county elections office by 7 PM on Election Day. Official drop boxes are only available during designated early-voting hours.”
Georgians who requested an absentee ballot but haven't received it yet still have options.
“If you requested but have not mailed your absentee ballot, you can still vote in person. Local election officials can help you cancel your absentee ballot and cast your vote,” said Secretary Raffensperger.
Early voting continues through Friday, October 30. Polling places are open on Election Day from 7 AM to 7 PM. To find early voting locations and hours in your county and your Election Day polling places, visit the Secretary of State’s My Voter Page.
