Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to Host “Fearless Fundraising for Small Business” Event in Valdosta
Atlanta – Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is excited to announce that the third 2024 FIN FIT (Financially Fit) event will be held Wednesday, September 18th from 8:30am-12:30pm at the Rainwater Conference Center in Valdosta, GA. We are proud to partner with the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce for this small business event. This event is free and open to all Georgians. A free continental breakfast and workbook is included in registration.
Starting a business and making it profitable is challenging, and Secretary Raffensperger is dedicated to empowering Georgians to acquire the necessary skills for success. FIN FIT is our live event where panelists will discuss how to fearlessly raise capital to finance your small business. They will also discuss details of the Invest Georgia Exemption (IGE), a powerful tool for Georgians looking to raise capital and fund their new venture or grow their already thriving business. FIN FIT's workshop portion will cover the topics of developing your fundraising goals, preparing your fundraising package, what to consider before you say yes, and managing your investor relationships for continued success and sustainability. A free workbook is included with our hands-on workshop.

The event will be moderated by Donna Lowry. FIN FIT is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his multi-faceted financial literacy effort and is administered through the Securities and Charities divisions of the Office of Secretary of State. These free programs feature industry leaders who discuss resources that can help increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for growing their wealth.
