Secretary of State’s Office Brings Financial Literacy and Live Music to 1,300 Georgia Students

Atlanta – The Secretary of State’s Office Securities Division and Funding the Future partnered to bring music, inspiration, and real-world money smarts to more than 1,300 high and middle school students across Georgia last week. 

As part of the Fall 2026 tour, singer-songwriter Gooding transformed school auditoriums into high energy concert experiences, where students were able to learn how to take control of their finances while rocking out to live music. 

“Financial literacy is a life skill every young Georgian needs,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “We are proud to be partner with Funding the Future to give students real-world money lessons that can set them up for future success while having a little fun.”

The schools on the first part of the Georgia tour were: 

Riverdale High School in Riverdale

Hopewell Middle School in Milton

Clarke Middle School in Athens

Camp Creek Middle School in College Park 

Gooding’s shows mix original music, eye-popping visuals, and personal stories of resilience. Students come for the high-energy concert but leave with valuable financial tools to help them budget wisely, build credit responsibly, avoid debt pitfalls, and confidently pursue their goals. 

The tour continues from October 26-November 4.
