The Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Interstate Compact (ASLP-IC) is an interstate agreement that provides a pathway by which audiologists and speech-language pathologists can obtain the authorization to practice in states where they do not hold a license. To join the compact, a state must enact the compact model legislation via its legislative process.

Your compact privilege will expire at the same time your home state license expires. For Georgia licensees, your license expires at midnight on March 31st of the odd-numbered year, every two years (EX: 03/31/2027; 03/31/2029). You will receive renewal notification from Compact Connect with information on renewing your privilege(s) and applicable fees. It is important to remember that you must renew your board license on-time every two years, in order to be eligible to renew your privilege to practice in other states under the compact. If you let your Georgia license expire, your compact privilege(s) will automatically expire as well.
