Raffensperger Brings Senior Financial Literacy Program to Atlanta

Atlanta - Republican Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is thrilled to announce the upcoming

Savvy Senior live event, taking place at Friendship Community Church in Atlanta on Thursday, November 20th from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We are proud to partner with SonSeeker Media LTD, Friendship Community Church, and Senior Medicare Patrol (SMP) for this important financial wellness event.

Senior citizens, family members, and caregivers are invited to join us for “Savvy Senior: Empower Your Financial Wellness Journey.” Our panelists will discuss essential strategies for retirement planning and fraud prevention where attendees strengthen their financial security and build confidence in managing the future with expert insights, resources, and practical tips. This event is free and open to all Georgians. A complimentary continental breakfast will be provided with registration.

“Our seniors deserve security in their golden years,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “My office is putting seniors first to ensure they have a safe and secure retirement strategy in place.”

Both panels will be moderated by Donna Lowry, an award-winning journalist. The first panel, focusing on “Financial Wellness,” will feature Shardéa Ages, CFP®, Co-Founder and Senior Wealth Advisor at Collective Wealth Partners; Tiffany Kent, CFP®, Principal of Wealth Engagement, LLC; and Fredrick Standfield, Founder of Lifewater Wealth Management. The second panel, dedicated to “Fraud Awareness,” will include Nathan Coflin, CACTS Georgia Team Lead, Community Outreach Specialist, Senior Medicare Patrol, AdviseWell Inc.; Shawn Horace, Senior Special Agent CFE, CACTS, Criminal Investigations Division, Office of Commissioner John F. King; Melissa Sneed, Deputy Commissioner for Supervision for the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance (Department); and Noula Zaharis, Assistant Commissioner of Securities and Division Director of the Securities & Charities Division at the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

Savvy Senior is a financial empowerment seminar series hosted by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his multi-faceted financial literacy effort and is administered through the Securities and Charities divisions of the Office of Secretary of State. These free events feature industry leaders who discuss resources that can help increase attendees’ knowledge about money, their relationship to money, and financial issues and strategies for growing their wealth.
