Savvy Senior program was launched in 2024 by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger as part of his financial literacy outreach.  “Georgia seniors deserve our respect, and most importantly, deserve a secure retirement,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. 

Financial literacy in your senior years is more important than ever. As you enter retirement and navigate the complexities of aging, a solid understanding of your finances can provide peace of mind, security, and independence. 

It’s not just about managing money—it’s about safeguarding your financial well-being. By mastering the fundamentals of retirement planning, recognizing potential fraud, and making informed choices about healthcare, investments, and long-term care, you can protect your assets and ensure a more secure, independent future.

Savvy Senior is led by a moderator and Georgia speakers from various financial sectors and enforcement agencies to educate seniors on the essential strategies for retirement planning and fraud prevention. 

Program length: 8:30am-12:30pm with Q&A. 

Attendees are given free financial literacy booklets provided by the Securities Division.
