Yes. Licenses expire every 2 years. You must renew your license prior to the expiration date and pay the $75.00 renewal fee. You will receive an email about renewal approximately 8 weeks prior to the expiration date. To qualify for renewal, electrical contractors must have completed 4 hours of continuing education per year. See Rule 121-4-.07. Continuing Education for Electrical Contractors.

4 hours of CE are required per year. If you have recently received your initial license, review the rules for your CE requirements.

Yes. The Georgia Board does have reciprocal agreements and will accept results of approved examinations conducted by:

1. Alabama 

2. Louisiana

3. North Carolina 

4. South Carolina

5.  Tennessee 

With your application, you must submit a license verification from the respective state board certifying that you hold a license and have passed the state examination.
