NCLEX Information

To ensure public protection, the Georgia Board of Nursing requires applicants to pass NCLEX-RN as a condition of licensure.  NCLEX-RN  measures the competencies needed to perform safely and effectively as a newly licensed, entry-level nurse.  Passing the exam demonstrates your competence so that you can launch your nursing career.

Visit the NCSBN website to learn more about the NCLEX.

You can increase confidence and reduce test anxiety by being fully prepared for the test experience. The NCSBN website has good tips and guidance to get you ready for the exam.

The NCLEX uses Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) to administer the examination. CAT is a method for administering exams that merges computer technology with modern measurement theory to increase the efficiency of the exam process. Click here for more information on Computerized Adaptive Testing.
