In the State of Georgia, “Chiropractic” means the adjustment of the articulations of the human body [O.C.G.A. § 43-9-1(2)].As a result, the Georgia State Board of Veterinary Medicine strongly encourages veterinarians who adjust animals to refrain from the use of the term "chiropractic" and identify their services as "animal manipulation" in order to avoid any potential violations of law.
Review the laws on lien for treatment, board, or care of animals and learn about any rights available to retain possession in O.C.G.A. § 44-14-490.
